Sunrise on Brooks Lake
This is a very early morning image of Brooks Lake and the surrounding butte from the Brooks Lake Campground where we spend the night. Very peaceful, very relaxing, and a beautiful sunrise. This was photographed with the Fujifulm 100s and the amazing 20-35mm Lens.

Size DOES Matter!
During our 2024 summer travels I packed the following cameras: Fuji X-H1 with both the 50-140, and a 100-400mm lens for wildlife. Fuji GFX100s with the 20-35F4, 50mm 3.5, and the 100-200 zoom. I had sold the the 30mm 3.5, the 45mm 2.8 (an amazing lens!), and I sold, for the SECOND time my GFX…

Unpacking the Overpacking
by: JM So I returned from my short, four day road trip to the Maine coast. As you will see in the below image I waaaay overpacked. But, in my defense I will say that I was testing several different load-outs, and bags and their configuration for our upcoming long-term summer trip back to Alaska,…

Beautiful Maine!
Hello, I have been here in Maine for several days now. I’ve been working out kinks in the way I manage my images with my new M2 laptop, Lightroom, and external drives. A couple of years ago when we traveled up to Alaska I only took my iPad. After I returned I said, and still…

Heading to the Maine Coast
by: JM: Next week I plan on driving up to Maine for a week of rest, relaxation, and photography! I do plan on hitting some of my favorite lighthouses (that goes without question), and Acadia National Park. I haven’t been in Acadia in what must be ten years even though I have a home up…
